Clash of Albums (Wizkid’s -Made in Lagos- and Olamide’s -Carpe Diem-)

by Nov 9, 2020Uncategorized

Hello wonderful people. How has the week been going? Fine abi? Alright let’s jump into the matter!

Alright so we got a very serious issue brewing in the streets and hearts of fans across the world and it’s concerning the recently released albums from two major music acts in Nigeria.

We are taking about non other than Wizkid and Olamide. Okay, so Wizkid released his album – Made in Lagos – and so far he has been drawing so much feeds and streams on this album.

Olamide, one of the street Kings also dropped his album Carpe Diem and then everyone is taking about vibes and all that.

So let’s look at these albums and see some statistics currently running on them.

First we gonna look at Olamide’s -Carpe Diem-
Carpe Diem is a Latin phrase that’s used to urge someone to enjoy the present and worry less of the future.

The 12-track album features 6 diverse artists, including Peruzzi, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, Bella Shmurda, Bad Boy Timz and Phyno.

Producers include P. Prime, Pheels, ID Cabasa, Young John and V. Stix.

Olamide would always come through with the street vibe and he makes sure he doesn’t disappoint us on this one. He currently has over 80 million audio streams in just 4 weeks, I mean that’s alot!

So it’s safe to say that this album has got lots of love and supports.

Like when you listen closely, you would see that he came through with a very challenging new self and style.

The vibes from the songs are just too much, the craft is mind blowing, I mean I never thought Olamide could pull off such great stunt.

Now over to Wizkid’s -Made in Lagos-
Made in Lagos is an album with a totally different side from Wizkid. The sound production is something on another level.

In less than 2 weeks Wizkid’s album is already driving over 100 million streams and is currently the third most streamed Nigeria album on Spotify.

Wizkid’s-Made in Lagos- stands to be one of the most reviewed albums of his all time career. He seems to have grown matured in craft and style. Why, he even counts his lines now but does it with so much style and craft that draws his audience deeper.

In an interview with the cool FM London, he said his previous album had taught him serious lessons and that’s why in this album he tried not to leave any part of his fan base unpleased although he later stressed that he needs no stress at this point of his career, he just wants women, money, peace and music.

Made in Lagos has 14 songs and features big artists like Burna Boy, for me I would say that was a major plus.

Alright let’s get to know your views and opinions in the comments section below. In the meantime, here are two major songs of their albums respectively.

Olamide – Green Light

Wizkid – No Stress
