Ever heard that strange producers tag? That one that sounds like Rhythm something? Yep that’s our one and only Pheelz. We have known him as Pheelz Mr Producer, producing hit tracks for top acts especially Olamide and the YBNL crew.

Philip better known as Pheelz was born in June 5 1994 in the streets of Lagos even though he is a native of Ogun state. He started music as a 10 year old singer in church while in high school in ajangbandi afromedia. Pheelz attended ideal comprehensive high school and later he worked under I.D Cabassa in Coded Tunes, the record label where he met Olamide.

In one interview he said back then he and Olamide were the errand boys for Coded Tunes records. Like they were the ones buying fuel and other stuffs but who would have believed that these two were the next biggest stars to emerge from the Nigeria music scene.

His breakthrough as a record producer came in 2012, when he produced the chart-topping singles by Olamide titled “First of All” and “Fucking With The Devil” off his YBNL album.

In 2014, he was also nominated in the “Producer of the Year” category at the 2014 edition of The Headies and at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2014, Pheelz collaborated with COPILOT Music and Sound on a cover of Carlinhos Brown’s “Maria Caipirnha (Samba da Bahia)”. The arrangement represented the musical instrumentation and styles of Nigeria for Visa’s “Samba of the World”, a digital campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Talk about the baddest jams from the early hit days of Olamide, jams like “Durosoke” “First of all” “Eleda Mi o” and more.

Now coming to the recent industry bangs. Ranging from hit songs like “Scatter” “Billionaire” and others. Whenever you hear that RIDDIMAHCOOLAYO! yes, that is our guy right there.

In a special interview, he disclosed how he got that new tag and according to him, he got the name from DJ Enimoney. He said “I was hanging out with DJ Enimoney in the studio one day and after hearing some beats, he excitedly said “This rhythm a cool ayo.” I was like, what did you say? Enimoney repeated it and I immediately asked him to record it and asked his permission to use it as my new tag.”
