Early Life:

Sage the Battlegod, born Okebile Dennis Israel is a fast-rising Musician, Author, model, Director, Actor, and Fine Artist.

He presently lives in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

He was born in the Mushin area of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, but grew up in Bonny Island Rivers State, South-South, Nigeria.

Sage originally hails from Orsu Local Government in Imo State, Southeastern region of Nigeria

Career:

Sage is a person ingrained with the belief that all goals are achievable through consistent efforts by exploring opportunities, and on this premise he hinged his career spanning- music, modeling as well as television.

Music

He began exploring sounds and took a profound interest in hip hop, making trap, and emo-rap his genre.

He actually began composing around late 2018 and so far has recorded a couple of tracks featuring mostly foreign Artists like Tyme Fla, The renegade, and MJ.

Sage has also collaborated with an interesting array of producers both foreign and local, like- Carnage, K.E, Beefy808, David Jr, and local collaborators like- Aisman, Ogee as well as Kassidy

Currently, he is working on his EP and no release date has been announced for this project.

The musical compilation will be including Nigerian artists for the first time.

Dennis is also an Author with credit for works like Chronicles of the Great Sage, a book that has been adapted into a series meant for television.

Television:

He also took a step further by having his first experience of acting under Enigmarex TV Studios and Film academy.

So far, Sage has been able to acquire the requisite knowledge of how the movie industry operates and most importantly, what it takes to thrill and entertain an audience.

He was featured as one of the main characters in:

Modeling:

In June 2020, to be precise, Sage decided to wander into the creative world of Modelling, an Industry known to be choosy with high standards.

When we asked him what his reasons were, his exact words were:

He was subsequently signed to Drew Modelling Management in April and began his modeling career.

Shortly into his stint as a model, Sage was appointed Project Manager.

As a creative director, he has directed “THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT OF FASHION, BLIND, PANDEMIC, etc.

His resume is quite impressive as regards the brands he has worked with as a model.

He is currently studying Fine and Applied art at The University of Benin City, Edo State Nigeria.

When it comes to music, I don’t believe in one particular style… Anyone can release any type of music and it doesn’t have to be influenced by another Artiste. I never knew I’d be able to do Afro till I tried, neither raggae or dance hall so that’s just it. The Audience is my influence

Being influenced by artists like J Cole and the Migos helped in crafting his style, which could be described as Witty/lyrical, Fast tempo, and Emotional (very few times).
