We start a brand new week and on a solemn and holy note.

Today we will be listing 10 Nigerian Praise & Worship Gospel Songs to help y’all exalt the Almighty and maker of heaven and earth, even as we sing to bring down his glory, showering us with his goodness and abundant blessings.

1. We have come by TY Bello & Tope Alabi

When these two gospel music colossus (TY & Tope); came together for a joint album (Spirit of the Light); it was natural that every single contained therein will simply be off the hook. “We Have Come” was quite a sound specifically tailored for worship owing to its slow, purposeful and conscientious rendition.

Here, TY Bello & Tope Alabi showed what kind of hot stuff both Gospel Queen Divas are made of and We have Come (Ekabo); takes you deep into worship as you bow to the superiority of the Almighty and his dominion thereof.

2. Nara by Tim Godfrey feat Travis Greene

Nara is a compendium of gospel songs for thanksgiving with the theme centered on Nara (meaning “accept my thanks in translated from Igbo to English).

Tim Godfrey pours out his heart in this beautiful soul inspiring rendition featuring fellow American Gospel Music aficionado- Travis Greene, who added more spiritual pep, International appeal and strength of purpose to the whole compilation.

3. Chinedum by Mercy Chinwo

Mercy Chinwo calls all and sundry out for worship in this slow rhythmic tune she calls- Chinedum (God Leads me in English).

The track is filled with deep and reflective lyrics, with a high and sustained pitch that penetrates even the hardest of heart, melting it and bringing it to God.

4. Give Thanks by Sinach

Sinach is undoubtedly one of the biggest female Gospel Music star, having collaborated with almost all the big names in the gospel music genre all across the globe and across varied continents.

Again she thrills her many fans (of which I’m one of them); to this superb tune she calls- “Give Thanks“

A track that seeks to praise the Almighty in his majestic splendor oblivious of whatever situation one finds himself.

5. Sweet Spirit of God by Frank Edwards feat Nicole c Mullen & Chee

Frank Edwards gets into worship mode yet again in this slow, inspirational and profound lyrical gospel rendition he titles- Sweet Spirit of God; and he features American Gospel Music sensation and choreographer- Nicole C Mullen, as well as another gospel music diva- Chee.

The track resumes on a sombre note with some ominous sound thats makes the intro, then enter the violin, before Frank jumps in with his sonorous voice to get the whole tune started, and Nicole in company of Chee, joins in the flow as these trio give their hearts out in worship to God, resonating the spirit, body and soul as they sing to his Glory and magnificence

6. Yahweh by David G

David G goes deep in worship in this slow and profound gospel outing he calls- Yahweh

The song resumes on a very beautiful and fulfilling mode with the piano taking the lead, then accompanied by the violin, subsequently followed by the accordion as well as the flute playing wonderfully in between; before David G takes the cue to bring this song to life, with a solid backup that adds more beauty to the song.

7. Odiro onye dika Gi by Chioma Jesus

Chioma Jesus has truly taken her singing strides global, churning out hits after hit. Making her one of the most sought after female Gospel Music acts worldwide; she seeks the face of God via her sonorous voice in this track she titles- Odiro onye di ka Gi (there’s none like thee).

A track that did bring the host of heaven when played anywhere on any occasion where Jesus Christ is celebrated and worshiped. Odiro onye dika Gi is overly inspiring and brings you into submission to God as you magnify his omniscient name and bask in his glory and love.

8. Baba ese by Yinka Ayefele

We take things a little top notch in this tune by indigenous Gospel music maestro- Yinka Ayefele in this fast paced and quick beats track he calls- Baba ese (Thank you God in English).

Baba ese, rendered fully in Yoruba with a little infusion of English, is a song that calls out worshipers of Christ to take to their feet and dance, worship and exalt the Almighty God while being thankful of his mercies and ordinance over our lives and existence.

9. Yes & Amen by Tope Alabi

Tope Alabi continues her praise and worship of the Almighty in this beautiful and well nurtured tune she calls – Yes & Amen or beni ati Amin (in Yoruba).

A song that truly holds you spellbound as this highly talented singer takes you through the labyrinth laden with God’s power and dominion , asserting the fact that God’s decision is final and when he says it is yes, it is indeed Amen

10. Omo Baba by Odunlade Adekola

Odunlade Adekola shows that being a thespian doesn’t mean you cannot diversify your talents; and yes he did in this beautiful and well layered gospel music song he calls- Omo Baba (Child of God in English).

A track that brings to bore the actor’s baritone voice, especially as he utilizes it in the worship of the Almighty God, exalting his name and his goodness in his life.
