Top ten Naija music videos this week (weekend playlist)

by Aug 14, 2020Music Videos, Naija hip hop, Weekend playlist

Hello there, how has the week been for you? First off, let me welcome you to the weekend. Today we are bringing you the most intriguing videos from our own artists and guess what, we are rating them by the uniqueness and quality of video.

Here in Nigeria we have a lot of artist coming through with wild crafts and sounds and then when it comes to the visual world we have got professional cinematographers. We have the likes of Clarence peters,  unlimited L.A, Mex and many others.

So sit back and enjoy these beautiful visuals;

No.10  Fireboy DML – tattoo

Apart from being recently released, this video is one that caught my eye when I watched it. The concept is just on point and then the location and color display are not too brightly colored yet they give it a nice view.  Enjoy this one from capital dream pictures.

No.9   Mayorkun x Davido – Betty butter

The DMW guys are always coming through with good visuals. I mean the management looks into that aspect. The mayor of Lagos didn’t disappoint his fans on this one.

No.8   Omah lay – Lolo

This video is just beautiful. That’s the word, its beautiful. The colors and flowers are just right for the sound and setting. It was directed by DAMMY TWITCH.

No.7   Lyta – worry

Since his big break with “time” where he featured naija rap star OLAMIDE, he has not relented on coming through with jams. The visual to this sweet song was directed by Simplicityvisualstudios. The video was shot out of Nigeria and the setting is just great. Mixed with that romantic feel, this video deserves to be on this countdown.

No.6   Tiwa savage – dangerous love

Whenever Tiwa savage comes on board, she brings good vibes. Anytime she gives out her visuals, she always tries to bring out a new style. This video is actually mind blowing and then in the parts where there’s the play on lights and pictures. That just sold it for me. Guys you have got to check this out.

No.5   Peruzzi – Lagbaja

Looking at the kingly play and costume, I must say that this video is one of a kind. Everything was detailed down to even the emporia look and feel. This video was directed by NAYA. Enjoy!

No.4   Wande Coal – Again

Love videos are usually not too easy to potray, especially when it comes to a music video. This is because you might have a beautiful damsel dance in the video but if the setting and color isn’t right then it just can’t get that feel.

No.3   Simi – Duduke

If every video comes here and this video isn’t here then the list is not complete. The beauty of this video is mainly in her baby bump and then the visual settings are in place. Not to bright but actually calm in a way that anyone can relate to it. Directed by STUDIO BRAT.

No.2   2baba x Wizkid – Opor

When two legends come together, you know you are bout to be served right. Yes and the visual is really catching.  Though the visuals should be rated 18+ because, what I am seeing there is too much for the eyes to behold, this video has got real got creative  mash up.  Enjoy this one and please, the video gann is Opor!

No.1   Kizz Daniel – Ada

This video is crazy, old school naija level but then beautiful. It just takes us back to the days of our old time stars and even the old time gospel music videos with lots of dance groups and effects like that. There is the pureness of the real naija swag in the video, many colors but not out of place. TG OMORI has really done something crazy this time and like they say “weird is the new cool”. Enjoy!
